Get a new passport online - only in the USA

Found this site AmericanPassport.com - where you (as an American citizen) can order a passport online. My first thought was how are they going to prove who you are, binaries is rather easily forged (if you have the proper knowledge that is)…

Then I looked a bit further in the application part, well - it’s not as online as it seems. You have to print out a bunch of documents, sign and send them back and some of those has to be hand carried to an acceptance agent. You get the drift.

Why not just go to the local one and get a passport in hand for a couple of bucks?
In Sweden, you just go to a licensed photographer, take a photo, sign your name and glue the photo to a speical form and mail it in, identification is done by a birth certificate and that you identify yourself with a valid ID (or have somebody with you that can vouch for you) to the cashier at the post office. That’s it.

I keep coming back and asking why all the cool stuff comes from USA… Take a simple online shop that sells picture frames as the example.

Of-course we have the usual online film developers - where you can send your digital photos/images and have them printed on paper. But what we don’t have is the extra stuff - like the option to get your favorite photo framed.

Sadly said site doesn’t serve “stand off” frames, IMHO the nicest looking ones - for my style of photos.

Lighting I’m looking for some new lighting for my front porch…

As usual, when you scour the net for one… the shop is in the states! I really think that a couple of these (one on either side of the door) would look great - those and some new paint.

Just twice the price of the item in shipping. Bah, nothing but bah!
