rabid ramblings…
Just wanted to give you a quickie… found the first vacation site that I’d even seriously think about using.
Vegas vacations has a nice clean interface, there’s more than two thoughts behind the UI design. It’s nice for a change to see a site that meant to bring in money but they still have had the brains to invest in a design.
As if you haven’t noticed… I’m on an extended leave, trying to have as much fun with my son as possible, and trying to renovate the basement in my house.
So the posting here will be really scarce for another week, at least, but I’ve bought a new toy… it’s a Canon 450D digital camera… so I’ve put a feed from Flickr on the sidebar so you can see that I live, I’m usually uploading a couple of hundred photos every other day.
Now my son seem to have gone to sleep, so now I’m going to go downstairs to be social with mom, dad, bro’ and wife.
One more day of hard labor until I go on a seven week (paid) vacation…. and no, it isn’t usual for even us to have that much vacation in a year - truth to be said, there’s “only” three weeks of vacation, the four others is “parental leave”.
Man, oh man, am I looking forward to this - even though my wife and I only have three weeks of vacation together, the reason we’ve done it in this way is because the daycare is closed over summer. But the mere idea of being able to stay home and play with our son for forty nine straight days is beyond belief!
My son’s godfather John is coming to visit for 10 days - all the way from USA. I’m thrilled! Fishing and a couple of cold ones on the porch… yay!
We still don’t have any thing set in stone on what to do when we’re home together, but it’s the time of the year for luxury vacations… a cruise in the Caribbeans, that’d be a dream… but I guess a win on the lottery would be needed first.
